1. Who we are
Disability Answer is an advertising and lead-referral service that connects people looking for help with a Social Security disability claim with attorneys, advocates and other disability representatives. We are not a law firm and do not give legal advice.
Disability Answer is a private company. Not affiliated with any government agency, including the Social Security Administration.
2. Information we collect
When you use our questionnaire, we collect the answers you give: whether you are working, whether you are seeing a doctor, your recent work history, how long your condition has lasted or is expected to last, your age, whether you receive SSDI or SSI, whether a lawyer or advocate is already helping you, whether you are a veteran, whether you have applied before, and a short description of your condition. We also collect your name, phone number, email address and state.
Some of these answers are health-related. We treat them as sensitive information and use them only for the purposes described in this policy.
We also collect basic technical information such as device type, IP address, pages visited, referring website and advertising campaign details.
To keep a record of your consent, we use TrustedForm, a service of ActiveProspect, which may record your interaction with our form.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to review your situation, share it with attorneys, advocates or other disability representatives who may be able to help, contact you about your request, keep a record of your consent, improve our website, and measure the performance of our advertising.
4. Sharing your information
We share your details with participating attorneys, advocates and disability representatives so they can contact you. We also use service providers for hosting, analytics, advertising measurement, consent verification and record keeping. We do not sell your information for unrelated marketing.
6. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar tools, including advertising pixels, to understand how visitors use our site and to measure our ads.
To measure our ads, we may share limited information with advertising platforms such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram): that you visited, started or completed our form, your email address, phone number, name and state in a coded (hashed) form, and browser and click identifiers.
We never share your answers to our questions with advertising platforms. That includes your health, work, age, veteran status and benefits answers.
You can limit cookies through your browser settings.
7. Data security and retention
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information and keep it only as long as needed for the purposes described here or as required by law.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your information. To make a request, email [email protected].
9. Children
Our service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
